How we started
“Ever since I was a young man, which I confess was quite a while ago, I have wanted to be an entrepreneur, and have the space and freedom to create. And this has evolved into wanting to solve inefficiencies in inventory management, streamline processes, and increase productivity to make organisations more profitable.
Inventor-e was founded after I saw people physically checking inventory in bins on site to ensure replenishment. I wanted to remove this non-value-added activity. Since identifying this initial problem and providing solutions, we have continued to develop disruptive technology to solve customer’s inventory management problems.” – Dean Henry, CEO

How we started
Our Story
2006 – The early years
The first Inventor-e system, EARS (Electronic Automated Replenishment System), was introduced in 2006 into Alstom Preston UK.
2011 – Sourcerer is reborn
Inventor-e’s Sourcerer solution is re-engineered, allowing users to manage inventory and assets from one cloud based system that can be integrated into any ERP/MRP system.

2001 – Inventor-e founded
Inventor-e was founded in 2001, with the core aim to develop and
manufacture point-of-use inventory control systems.
2009 – iVendM developed
The prototype, iVendM, was developed as an inventory management system using weight sensor technology.
2013 – New headquarters opened
Following a period of strong growth in 2013 the company opened headquarters at the University of Warwick Science Park & secured a contract worth £600k pa with Babcock International
